The fans of TVXQ’s Xiah Junsu and Hwangbo have donated money for surgery fees and verbal remediation fees for hearing-impaired children and once again showed the warm love of fans.



According to the Snails of Love foundation, Xiah Junsu’s fan community ‘Xiah Soul’ and Hwangbo’s fan community ‘Estella’ showed their deep love and interest for the hearing impaired by donating money to cover fees for surgery and verbal remediation for children and teenagers.

Lawyers of SM Entertainment said:

“The court’s ruling for TVXQ is not fair. They didn’t consider the main reasons of the case. Their long contract is so that we can let them grow and have a long term deal with them. We want to look at their career in the long run and the court’s decision is not letting us do that. This is going to affect TVXQ’s international promotions. It’ll also create confusion for stars that want to have long term contracts and move on to bigger things later in their careers and for the companies that want to nurture talented people for a longer time. Not only that, it’ll have some unwanted consequences on exports of Korean music as well as other issues.”

They continued to say:

“Each year, we adjusted the contracts in favor of the members. Before this problem, the three members never complained about anything. Now that they have succeeded this much, they are complaining. They have just started to reach the top and now want to separate. Before a final decision is made, the three can do their personal and individual work. However, this does not grant the three members any rights as part of TVXQ.”

Because of all this, TVXQ has not been able to work and SM Entertainment will seek to receive compensation for damages during the time that TVXQ has been inactive.

The three TVXQ members have decided to attend cable channel Mnet’s ‘Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)’ at the Seoul Janshil Indoor Gymnasium on the 21st at 7 pm. I often reminded YunHo that all the staff around him; his manager and cody have suffered a lot because of him. Tsutomu may imitate Junsu? The Sekine’s will hold a live show next February.

Yunho and Changmin of DBSK/TVXQ have stated that they are on SM Entertainment's side on the legal dispute between the company and other three members.





They said that they trust SM Entertainment and will be with them in the future. The two also gave a deadline to the other members (Junsu, Yoochun, Jaejoong), expressing that DBSK will come back to promote in Korea next spring, so the other three members must make a decision before the 12th of this month.







The two members' thoughts were delivered through a document compiled by Yunho and Changmin themselves, which stated:



We five members of DBSK signed the same contract with the same clauses for the past five years, and have worked together under same conditions with utmost trust in the company, each other and our dreams. We intend to share our dream and future with the company and keep the promises we made in the contract. DBSK was made by SME and we intend to work as DBSK with SME.

No other company can create DBSK, as only SME can provide the best production and management team available. The three members should know better than anyone else that SME is the one who knows DBSK the best and made us the best. We intend to keep trust and promise and thus intend to stay. DBSK's grand future will be with SME.

We believe that our Korean promotion, planned for next spring, should be prepared at least 6 months in advance before our future as one becomes unclear. If the other three members truly want to stay as one DBSK, they must make a decision before it's too late.








They also commented on the beauty product controversy which sparked this legal dispute between the DBSK trio and SM Entertainment:


The beauty product business changed everything. We are not familiar with the matters but we believe that a legitimate company that seeks to do business with DBSK must consult with SME first. It is common sense. We did not get involved because being such a relationship without SME would have meant that trouble was ahead.

We did not want the reputation and pride of DBSK, earned by our hard work, to be ruined by a company that did not work in a legally respectable manner. We are not aware of the contract between that company and the three members, nor do we know what those members were told or how much they have earned through their deal. What we do know is that the fact that DBSK, forged together for five years by all of our dreams, has fallen into its current state because of an unethical company that is simply unacceptable.

With DBSK crumbling away like this, the current situation is unbelievable. It is sad to see that this was all caused by some beauty product company, and we hope that the three members would come back to the days when we were all working hard for our dreams.

Recently in Japan, the main keyword/stars for Hanllyu (Korean Wave) is the 5 member Idol group TVXQ. Last week, TVXQ swept away 2 #1’s in 2 categories on the Oricon Chart, which can also express Japan’s popular artist’s popularity most accurately. It is clear that TVXQ's a top star in the J-Pop industry.

Recently (30th of last month), the news of their release of the ‘4th Live Tour 2009 ~ The Secret Code FINAL in TOKYO DOME ~’ DVD, which sold about 171,000 copies ranked #1 on Oricon Weekly DVD Ranking became a huge topic. It was because it was the first time a Foreigner who is Asian had ranked top in the DVD/Video category.

On the same day, TVXQ’s member Hero Jaejoong & Micky Yoochun who formed a special unit ‘JEJUNG & YUCHUN ’ with their single ‘ Colors ~ Melody & Harmony ~ / Shelter ’ ranked #1 as well, with 149,363 sales in just the first week. To accomplish this much with just 2 members, is proof of TVXQ’s Popularity in Japan.

TVXQ/THSK, Korean Idol group is grabbing lots of attention in Japan. As a foreigners, who overcame language barrier and culture differences, what was their secret to rising to the top in J-Pop.

● The difference & attraction between THSK & JE Idol

It is not an overstatement when you say that groups from Johnny’s (focuses on male idol groups) have a tight grip on Japan’s male idol market. For many years, Johnny’s have specialized and focused on male idol groups by debuting many groups fitting Japanese women’s tastes.

Johnny’s group Arashi, Smap, NEWS, Kinki Kids, Tokio, V6 etc, who are also known in Korea, have been on top of music charts, movies, shows etc(in Japan). Because of this, in 2005 with their debut single “Stay with me Tonight”, many people did not think or expect THSK to get results like they have today.

However, THSK showed a different charm to those females who have been so used/accustomed to Johnny’s boy idols. It was that they were a group with both singing and dancing talents. This is also similar to when BoA caused a big stir in the Japanese female idol market earlier in 2000.

Instead of vocal skills, Johnny’s Idol groups are focused more on performance and image making, and have captured female fans with their looks. You can notice that many of them have/use a nasal sound and aren’t vocally skilled, but with their image, made from their appearances in a variety of programs, drama, movies etc, they have captured many fans and is why they are at top in the music industry.

Since their debut in Korea, TVXQ has been known as an “Acapella Dance Group” and have proved so with their harmony, and excellent live performances. Also, another big part of an Idol’s popularity is dance, (such as hip hop, jazz dance, etc.) which U-Know Yunho(also TVXQ) are skilled in. TVXQ's performances overpower Johnny's Artists performances because of the diverse/variety of performances they perform.

Unlike Johnny’s Group, who are elegant, skinny, and the pretty faced type, which Japanese women like, TVXQ was more focused on bringing out each members individuality/personality and at the same time, with their tall heights, their fit bodies through exercise etc. they emphasized on manliness.

● One step at a time... continuous challenge to the top

In less than a year, BoA became a top star in Japan. In 2002 with her first album "Listen to my Heart" which sold nearly 1 million copies, ranked #1 on the Oricon Weekly ranking which was a big topic in both Korea & Japan.

The biggest success achieved for a Korean singer that debuted in the J-POP industry, would be BoA. From the start, it was solid that BoA was to debut in Japan. Because of this, she was able to understand the Japanese culture as well learn the language and was able to guest on variety of programs without giving a feel of a foreigner. This was one of key factors that gained BoA’s big popularity amongst the people.

But, THSK was different from BoA. They were not proficient in the language, and nor did they mainly focus on their Japanese activities, which took longer for them to rise to the top. Their first #1 on Oricon Daily Single chart was in 2008 with their 16th single “Purple Line”.

“Purple Line” did rank #1, but did not receive much attention due to low sales.
“Only Japanese woman(ahjumma) who are into the Korean wave likes them” “Korean fans bought CD’s in Japan as a whole to rank them #1 on Oricon Chart” was what came out.

TVXQ did not think too much with results. Depending on the results (of their activities, sales, and what was said etc.), they did not let that bring them down, nor did they let it get to their heads, but instead they continued with their activities in both Korea & Japan and step by step adapted to the culture. As singers, they have gained Japanese fans with their talent through stages big and small. Avex, Japan's leading record label and company has supported/brought up BoA, and is also highly praising TVXQ's potential/talent and is actively supporting them.

Due to their constant efforts and challenge, they were able to achieve 2 Oricon's in 2 different categories last week and their sales have increased compared to the past. In one week, over 170,000 copies of their DVD’s sold, and at the same time, sold about 150,000 copies of their single. TVXQ has grown into a talented group who you can call J-Pop’s top Idol group.

Birth of a special project unit! Triggered by Yuchun






The pair’s project “Colors –Melody and Harmony” was born, whose idea was it?
YC: Mine. It was probably on the day just as we were recording “Endlessly Sweet - Amaku Hatehinaku”. I was originally preparing a solo for Tokyo Dome, but suddenly on that day, I thought, “Ah, I want to do it with Jejung.” I’ve worked with Jejung before in composing, and I thought that it would be perfect if we were partners this time. I asked, “Do you want to do it together?” He said “Yes, let’s do it.”
JJ: It was beautiful. At that time, I was worrying about what to do for my solo, and I thought it was a good idea. –So I decided to go with it at once.
YC: The two of us decided really quickly.
JJ: It was almost trivial (laughs). But we had our goal set.

-How did you want to make the song when you were discussing about it?
JJ: We’ve decided from the very beginning. Because we wanted to sing this song at the Tokyo Dome with all 50,000 people, we wanted to make a simple and bright melody. But, because Yuchun had already heard a song I arranged earlier, he suggested, “Let’s go with this one.” (laughs)
YC: Because it was a good song.
JJ: But it was troublesome.
YC: Not at all. I was troubled because I haven’t improved in composing, and it was a really good arrangement. It fit exactly the image of singing with 50,000 people. Because it’s his first bright song in all the songs he composed, I really wanted to use that arrangement.

-Really? The title Melody & Harmony is really beautiful. Because it was only the two of you, the song felt really fresh.
YC: We felt pressured about the harmony. We thought we couldn’t harmonize well with only the two of us singing.

-It’s already perfect, isn’t it?
JJ: I suppose it’s good. We worked really hard on it.

-The atmosphere of the other song “Shelter” is really mature.
JJ: Actually, I’m really proud of this one.

-Well then, did the work go smoothly?
JJ: It took a long time~.
YC: I had trouble with the rap. There was more than I thought there would be. (laughs)
JJ: But it was a new discovery, right? I told him, “Yuchun’s good at this rap!” (laughs). And, oh yes, please look at the credits. There! Junsu’s name is included in composing the song!

-You’re right! Eh, why?
JJ: At first, I was recording the demo in my own room, but the chorus just wouldn’t come out. And then, Junsu burst into my room saying, “Let me try singing it.” And for 10 minutes, he just sang it and said, “Isn’t this great?” and left after. (laughs). But this was vexing…
YC: It’s a good melody, isn’t it?
JJ: Yes. Thanks to him we were able to finish the song. We put his name there because of that one moment.

-Good story. (laughs) I think it’s a wonderful single that satisfies you because you can feel the charm of two very different extremes.
YC: There’s no in-between song. (laughs)
JJ: But there is a connection between these two songs. They are similar in that they both say “Thank you” in the lyrics.

-What do you want the listeners to feel from this single?
YC: Kindness.
JJ: I would be happy if they can see a new side of us through this song

-Benarkah? Tema Melody & Harmony sangat indah. Karena hanya kalian berdua saja, lagu ini terasa sangat menyegarkan.
YC: Kami merasa adanya tekanan pada harmoni. Kami berpikir kami tidak dapat berharmonisasi dengan baik karena hanya kami berdua saja yang bernyanyi.

- Sudah sempurna bukan?
JJ: Saya rasa sudah baik. Kami benar-benar bekerja keras.

Membutuhkan credit. Apakah ada orang lain yang ikut dalam pembuatan lagu?
- Atmosfir dari lagu lain "Shelter" sangat dewasa.
JJ: Sebenarnya, saya sangat bangga dengan karya ini,

- Jadi, apakah pekerjaan berjalan dengan lancar?
JJ: Membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama~.
YC: Saya mengalami kesulitan pada bagian rap. Ada banyak daripada yang saya pikirkan. (tertawa)

- Kamu benar! Eh, mengapa?
JJ: Saat pertama, saya sedang mengambil rekaman untuk demo di ruangan ku, tapi bagian chorus/reff tidak muncul. Kemudian, Junsu mendadak masuk ke ruanganku dan berkata, "Biarkan saya coba menyanyikannya." Setelah 10 menit, ia menyanyikannya dan berkata, "Bukankah ini bagus?" dan langsung pergi begitu saja. (tertawa). Tapi ini memuakkan... (T/N: Junsu pergi begitu saja tanpa berkata apa-apa pada Jejung)
YC: Melodi yang indah, bukankah begitu?
JJ: Ya. Berkat dia kami dapat menyelesaikan lagu ini. Kami menaruh namanya di sana karena kejadian itu.

- Cerita yang bagus. (tertawa) Saya rasa ini adalah single indah yang akan memuaskan mu karena kamu dapat merasakan daya tarik berbeda yang dimiliki kedua lagu.
YC: Tidak ada koneksi yang begitu mendalam pada setiap lagu. (tertawa)
JJ: Tapi ada sedikit koneksi antara kedua lagu. Ada kemiripan penyampaian "Terima kasih" dalam lirik pada kedua lagu tersebut.

- Apa yang ingin kalian sampaikan kepada pendengar melalui single ini?
YC: Kemurahan hati.
JJ: Saya akan senang bila mereka dapat melihat sisi lain dari kami berdua melalui lagu ini.

DongBangShinKi attended the court for an agreement but failed.




TVXQ’s Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, Xiah Junsu submit today in court, despite the court’s mediation efforts to reach a consensus.

In the past three months, DBSK members and SM Ent attended at the Seoul Central District Court to coordinate the process of the case. The court agreed that both sides should come up with an amicable decision but because of the differences between each other, the agreement did not end the conflict.

For TVXQ “They have the deep feeling that their goal which is changing their work conditions seems to be difficult to reach”.

The court is planning to make a difficult decision for both sides later in the month.

Meanwhile last July 31st, the 3 members of Dong Bang Shin Ki 3 filled an exclusive contract validity suspension and provisional disposition request.

pada tanggal 28 oktober lalu, Starnews berkesempatan untuk mewawancarai Sejong(kantor pengacara junsu,yoochun,jaejoong) melalui telepon. mereka mengatakan bahwa Jaejoong,Junsu dan Yoochun akan tetap bergabung dengan TVXQ dan tidak pernah punya niatan untuk meninggalkan mereka.

aku terhenyak,menengok dan mendapati jaejong tersenyum jahil. Dan dia berhasil dg sukses membuatku trlihat bodoh dihadapanya. Air mata yg sedari tadi kutahan, mengalir begitu saja.

Aku hendak beranjak utk menyembunyikan rasa sedihku tapi tangannya menarik jaketku sebelum sebuah pelukan mendarat di tubuhku. Pundakku terasa dingin seperti terkena te2san air. Jaejong... Menangiskah ia?
"yunho~a..aku ingin lebih lama bersamamu."
aku terhanyut dlm dimensinya, ku peluk erat pinggangnya dan ku cium syal yg merekat di leher jenjangnya.
Dalam kehampaan tanpa batas,ada kepedihan dilerung hatinya. Aku tahu dia mencoba utk tegarg. Namun ketegaranya tdk jauh dr kata 'menyedihkan'.
"yunho...aku..aku...uhug!uhug!"
jaejong tertohok,suaranya parau,ucapanya kacau,dy terisak isak dipundakku. Dan aku hanya bisa menepuk nepuk punggunya.

Raut wajahnya sgt pucat,tangannya teramat dingin. Aku cemas jika kondisinya semakin buruk. Aku berjongkok didepan jaejong yg tgh du2k dikursi kayu, kubenahi syal yang dia kenakan.
"jaejong,ayo kita pulang"
dia menggenggam tanganku.
"yunho~a..aku tdk ingin pulang,mereka pasti akan membawaku ke london."
"utk bs sembuh kau perlu kesana jongie."
"tdk untuk saat ini"
Dia merunduk sedih. Kusentuh wajahnya lembut berharap dy tdk merasa tersisih lagi. Aku berbalik membelakanginya dgn tetap berjongkok.
"naiklah,kurasa kau sudah tdk sanggup berjalan lagi."
"aku msh.."
"cepatlah"tukasku.
Barulah dia menimpakan badannya kepunggungku. Tangannya melingkar dileherku. Ku lirik dia,dan aku melihat beberapa asap keluar dari mulut mungilnya. Pasti sangat dingin. Kemudian aku memulai perjalanan.
"yunho,kita mau kemana?"
"kita akan pulang,junsu dan yg lain pasti cemas"
"hm"
dia mengiyakan sembari menopangkan dagunya dibahuku.
"mereka pasti sng bila melihatmu pulang"
jaejong diam,dy mulai membebani kepalaku dg kepalanya.
"kau akan baik2 sj"
aku bersusah payah utk menyemangatinya,tp dy tetap bungkam.
"kau akn sembuh jongie~aku yakin itu"lanjutku.
Mataku sudah panas dan memerah,tenggorokanku perih seolah2 dicekik rasa takut.
"aku ini leader yg buruk. Tdk bisa menjaga mu dg baik. Aku payah sekali" ceracauku pjg lbr.
Tak ad sahutan darinya,yg ada bahu ku kembali trasa dingin dan basah. Mungkin jaejong menangis lg.
"kita pasti bs sprti dulu,kau,aku,junsu,yochun dan si tukang makan changmin. Kita akan keliling dunia lagi"
aku terus berceloteh,mengusir kerisauan dibenak. Ketakutan yg setiap kali menggerogotiku semakin menjadi ketika jaejong tk jua mengeluarkan suara.
"jongie...kwaencanhayo?"
aku menangis stlh pelukan jaejong melemah. Kedua tangannya yg melilit leherku trlepas perlahan. Aku...tdk dpt berkata2 lagi. Suaraku...tiba2 menghilang. Deru nafas yg sedari tadi terasa di telingaku,kini lenyap.
"jongie,peganganlah.. Nanti kau jatuh."
tanpa harus menoleh kearahnya,aku mengangkat tangan jaejong dan berusaha melingkarkanya lagi di leherku. Tapi jaejong tetap diam dg sejuta kesunyian.

Yunho POV

jaejong menghilang! Kami smw panik. Tadi aku melihat dia dikamarnya tapi skrg lenyap!dia tk lg disana. Jaejong,kmn dia pergi?bagaimana kalau trjd sesuatu pd'x?q tdk bs membayangkan'x.

Kami brpencar mnjd 3 kelompok,junsu dan changmin mencari'x ke arah barat,yochun pergi ke arah timur, smntara q mencari'x dtmpat2 yg sering ia kunjungi.
Aku sempat kesal saat aku berusaha menghubunginya,dia tak jua mengangkat handphone'x.apa sih yg sdg dy kerjakan!?
Kakiku trz sj berlari untuk mencari sosoknya.
"jaejong~a,kau dmn?"gumamku dg nafas terengah2. Waktu it salju tengah turun,cuaca amat dingin smpai menusuk tulang. Aku tkt jaejong kedinginan!dia sdg sakit. Bgmn kalau trjadi sesuatu pd'x?

Langkah q trhnti saat q menemukan sosok pria yg du2k menyendiri pd bangku kayu tua di taman. Aku melihatnya mengenakan topi rajutan dan syal yg tebal melingkar dilehernya. Wajahnya pucat dan beberapa asap mengepul di mulutnya. Aku mendekati'x pelan.
"jaejong..."
dia tmpk kaget,mata'x melejit bgtu mendengar suaraku yg parau. Sebelum dia sempat men0leh kearah ku,aku memeluknya erat. Ap dy tdk tahu betapa kacauny hatiku ketika ia menghilang?aku khawatir stgh mati. Saking khawatir'x air mataku tak terbendung lagi.
"yunho-a..."
jaejong menepuk2 punggungku pelan seolah brkata'tenanglah'
"kenapa pergi tnpa bilang2?"tanyaku.
Jaejong berusaha melepas pelukanku,pipinya merah mungkin dy kedinginan. Tangannya yg tlh beku menyentuh ke dua pi2ku.
"miahnhae.."
dy beranjak dr du2knya.dan ap mksdnya!?dia mau pergi lagi?!tidak!itu tdk boleh!
Aku brlari ke arahnya utk kemudian menahan kepergiannya
"kau mau kmn?"
ku bentangkan tanganku tepat dihadapannya.
"yunho~a...biarkn aku pergi."
"tdk!kau sdg sakit"
jaejong menyentuhkan telunjuknya dibi2rku.dia menatapku sendu
"kau temani aku saja"
dy meraih tanganku. Menggenggam tgn ku hangat. Aku tk mengelak,hanya dpt mengikuti kemana ia melangkah.

kami du2k dbwh pohon. Dia mengajakku kesuatu t4. Tempat dmn jaejong sering termenung. Yah,..sungai Han.
Hening, kami terdiam menikmati alunan musik alami yg berasal dari desiran angin dan aliran sungai yg lembut. Tiba2 dia menenggadahkan tangan kirinya.
"yunho...a..coba kau angkat tanganmu."
"huh?"
aku menatapnya bingung lalu dia balik menatapku,"seperti ini."
mau tdk mw aku menurutinya.
Ku gadahkn tangan ke arah matahari bersamaan dgnya. Yang terlihat adl pantulan cahaya dari cin2 yg kami kenakan. Dan aku menatap jaejong lekat ketika sebuah senyum mewarnai wajahnya.
"lihatlah.cincinnya manis bukan?sepertimu"
kedua bola mataku bergulir ke jaejong sesaat stlh aku memandang cincin. Hatiku sakit mendengar kalimatnya. Bukan karna aku tdk suka dipuji,melain kan karna waktu it... Jae jong tampak menyedihkan. Tapi dy tetap cantik dimata ku. Dia berhasil membuatku jatuh cinta utk yg kesekian kalinya. Aku tdk th bgmn bisa aku jatuh cinta pada bocah ini?
Ku amati wajah sempurnanya, oh tuhan...betapa indahnya makhluk ciptaanmu ini. Alis yg indah,sorot mata hangat,hidung bangirnya dan bi2r manisnya yg ingin ku kecup. Bila melihatnya ingin berkali2 aku memeluknya,membelainya dan menciumnya.
"kau lebih manis jongie"
"mwo?"
jaejong menatapku heran dan kami bertemu pandang.
"bagiku hanya kau seorang" tandasku.
"yunho~a"
dia memalingkan pandangan sendunya dariku..memandang langit biru sambil menyongsong senyuman amat lembut,dia kembali berkata,"yunho~a,lihatlah langit itu,aku...akan menjagamu dari sana..aku janji"
aku ikut menenggadah langit luas,"itu terlalu jauh"
